Jezero Crater on Mars

December 30, 2023

NASA's Perseverance Rover is currently exploring Jezero Crater on Mars, which is an ancient river delta that was formed billions of years ago. The video highlights the different rock layers that the rover has found, and how these layers tell the story of the crater's history. The rover is also looking for signs of past life, and the video discusses some of the potential targets that the rover will be investigating in the future. The video includes a richly detailed panorama of the rover’s location in November 2023, taken by the Mastcam-Z instrument.
