Water Rescue Robot
November 13, 2025
The Dolphin 3 by OceanAlpha is a high-speed, self-propelled rescue robot engineered for aquatic emergency response. Dolphin 3 combines autonomous stabilization, dual-mode control, and real-time video feedback to deliver precision and speed in critical situations.
The Dolphin 3 features an instant activation system that powers the robot the moment it contacts water. The Plus version adds a 2-second auto-righting mechanism, using directional sensors to recover from capsizes and maintain operational stability even in turbulent conditions. The propulsion system enables a maximum speed of 7 meters per second. This speed reduces time-to-contact in rescue scenarios, allowing responders to reach victims before fatigue or hypothermia sets in.
Dolphin 3 supports dual control modes: remote operation via handheld controller and local manual override for direct handling. This flexibility ensures zero-compromise responsiveness whether deployed from shore, boat, or dock. The robot’s 1-ton towing capacity allows it to drag multiple survivors, lifeboats, or debris simultaneously, making it suitable for mass rescue operations.
The Plus model includes a real-time HD video feed via a waterproof monitor, enabling rescuers to visually track survivors, obstacles, and environmental hazards. Optional accessories include a remote speaker for voice guidance and a search light for nighttime operations. Dolphin 3 features an auto-return function that activates if the remote signal is lost or battery drops below a customizable threshold.
