Underwater Jetpack
June 21, 2025
The CudaJet Underwater Jetpack is a hands-free, back-mounted, underwater propulsion device designed for gliding beneath the surface with power and precision. This all-electric jetpack features a dual-thrust system that allows divers to reach speeds up to 6.7 miles per hour (3 meters per second). While this may not seem fast on land, underwater it provides an exhilarating sense of speed due to the natural resistance of water—comparable to the feeling of flying through air at highway speeds.
The propulsion unit weighs about 30 pounds (13.5 kilograms) and it fits chest sizes ranging from 32 to 60 inches. Operation is handled via a hardwired handheld remote. Through this controller, users can monitor speed, battery life, depth, and receive real-time safety alerts. A trigger provides fine control over propulsion, while a depth limit—user-adjustable up to 131 feet (40 meters)—ensures safe operation. If the diver exceeds the set limit, the unit automatically shuts off and triggers a slow, controlled ascent.
Power is supplied by a marine-optimized lithium-ion battery, providing up to 90 minutes of run time. Recharging takes about 75 minutes. The CudaJet is neutrally buoyant in water. Each CudaJet is custom-built and includes a protective hard case, a fast charger, and a two-year warranty. Custom finishes and limited-edition models are available for those seeking a personalized touch.
