Smart Photo Telescope

February 11, 2026

The DWARFLAB DWARF mini is a highly portable, smart telescope designed to make astrophotography and bird watching accessible to beginners and travelers. It weighs only 840g, allowing it to easily fit into a backpack or small bag. Despite its compact size, it integrates a precision astro camera, an automated tracking mount, and an intelligent control system, eliminating the need for complex manual setups traditionally associated with stargazing.

At the heart of the DWARF mini is a Sony IMX662 image sensor, which features 2.9μm pixels for capturing fine details in deep space objects. The telescope supports 2MP RAW photography, for users who want to perform advanced post-processing later. One of its standout technical features is the Equatorial Mode, which enables the telescope to track the sky and counteract the Earth's rotation. This mode allows for long exposures of up to 90 seconds, bringing out the vibrant colors and intricate structures of nebulas and galaxies without the risk of star trailing.

The DWARF mini is designed for total automation, featuring Auto GoTo navigation and precision star tracking. Through the companion app, users can select a celestial target, and the telescope will automatically align itself and begin capturing images. It also includes three built-in filters: a dark-frame filter to reduce noise, an astro filter to enhance nebula contrast, and a dual-band filter to cut through city light pollution and moonlight. For nature enthusiasts, the device also supports daytime bird watching and panoramic photography.
