The Esper Hand 2 is a next-generation robotic prosthetic developed by Esper Bionics, designed to deliver intuitive control, enhanced durability, and easy integration into daily life. Building on the success of the original Esper Hand, this new model introduces waterproofing, stronger grip capabilities, and improved AI-driven functionality, making it one of the most advanced bionic hands available.

The Esper Hand 2 features a self-learning control system powered by electromyography (EMG) sensors and advanced digital signal processing. These sensors detect muscle activity from the user’s residual limb and translate it into precise hand movements. Over time, the system adapts to the user’s behavior, predicting intended actions and refining grip patterns for more natural and responsive control.

The prosthetic features six actuators that enable multi-articulated finger movement, allowing users to perform complex tasks such as typing, cooking, and using touchscreen devices. The fingers are constructed from lightweight aluminum for durability and strength, while the anatomical design ensures a comfortable and ergonomic fit. The hand supports proportional motor control, meaning users can modulate speed and force based on muscle input, offering a more lifelike experience.

The Esper Hand 2 has waterproof construction, which allows users to wear the device in everyday conditions such as rain, handwashing, and even dishwashing. Users can personalize the hand with swappable palm covers and adjust grip settings through the Esper+ app, which connects via Bluetooth. The app also enables sensor fine-tuning, grip organization, and command switching, giving users full control over their prosthetic experience.
