Modular Yard Robot
March 10, 2026
The Yarbo M Series is a modular, autonomous yard robot designed to provide year-round maintenance for residential properties ranging from 0.25 to 1.5 acres. Building on the technology of Yarbo's larger flagship models, the M Series utilizes a single Universal Core that can be paired with interchangeable seasonal modules to perform four primary tasks: lawn mowing, snow plowing, leaf blowing/collection, and edge trimming. This modular approach is intended to replace multiple single-purpose outdoor tools with a single robotic platform that can be updated or expanded over time.
For navigation, the M Series employs a sophisticated sensor fusion system that includes RTK-GPS, LiDAR, and binocular cameras, which allows for precise, wire-free operation even in shaded areas or under tree cover. The lawn mower module features dual straight blades and adjustable heights. For winter use, the core can be attached to a snow plow with adjustable angles or a two-stage snow blower. The system also includes a collector module for leaves and grass clippings that can automatically dump its load at a designated spot once it reaches its capacity.
The robot is track-driven, allowing it to climb slopes of up to 35 degrees and navigate uneven terrain or gravel driveways that often cause wheeled robots to stall. It also functions as a utility vehicle, capable of towing up to 220 pounds for various yard tasks.
