Mini Reciprocating Sander

January 23, 2026

The NeoSander is a specialized mini electric reciprocating detail sander developed by HOZO Design. It is engineered specifically for intricate work such as model building, restoration, and crafting. The tool's primary innovation is its use of a reciprocating linear motor, which provides direct back-and-forth motion without the complex gears and rods found in traditional sanders. This design allows for a high speed of 13,000 strokes per minute while maintaining high precision and reducing the risk of the tool wandering or gouging the workpiece.

To accommodate a wide range of tasks, the NeoSander features an adjustable stroke length and comes with eight different head shapes designed to reach tight corners and curved surfaces. It also includes a comprehensive sanding system with eight different color-coded grits, ranging from coarse for rough shaping to very fine for mirror-like finishes. The sander is cordless and features an aluminum alloy shell for durability, as well as an internal counterweight system to minimize hand vibration during use. Additionally, the device can be converted into a small electric reciprocating saw with a specialized blade attachment.
