The GEPRC DarkStar16 O4 Pro is a micro FPV drone in the 1.6-inch class. This drone blends 4K imaging with a compact, durable frame. The DarkStar16 O4 Pro is equipped with a DJI O4 Air Unit Pro Camera Module, featuring a larger CMOS sensor that delivers sharper visuals and improved low-light performance. The footage remains crisp and stable thanks to a four-point damping ball system that filters out vibrations and eliminates the jello effect. The result is smooth, cinematic video straight out of the box.
The drone’s frame measures just 3.58 inches (91 millimeters) in wheelbase, built from lightweight molding that balances durability with agility. It weighs approximately 3.03 ounces (86 grams ±0.18 ounces), making it nimble enough for tight maneuvers while still offering enough mass for stable flight. The fixed XT30 power connector simplifies setup, and the modular VTX design allows users to detach the video transmitter by removing just six screws—ideal for quick maintenance or upgrades.
Under the hood, the flight controller is a TAKER F411-12A-E 1–2S AIO system powered by an STM32F411CEU6 MCU and an ICM42688-P gyro. It runs Betaflight OSD with an AT7456E chip, giving pilots full telemetry and customization options. The ESCs are Bluejay 8-bit 12A, tuned for smooth throttle response and reliable performance on 2S LiHV batteries. ESCs, or Electronic Speed Controllers, regulate the speed, direction, and braking of the motors based on signals from the flight controller.
With a recommended 2S 530mAh pack, the drone achieves up to 4 minutes of flight time during low-speed indoor cruising. Propulsion comes from SPEEDX2 1003 14,800KV motors paired with Gemfan 1636-4 props, delivering snappy acceleration and tight cornering. The 5.8GHz antenna ensures strong signal transmission, while the included camera protector and top plate add extra shielding for sensitive components.
