The Hiwonder ESP32-S3 Development Board is a high-performance, multifunctional robotics and AI programming platform designed for embodied artificial intelligence and smart interaction. Centered on the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 core, it features an Xtensa 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor with a main frequency of up to 240MHz. The board is particularly notable for its integration of large language models (LLMs) like DeepSeek and Qwen, enabling users to develop smart virtual companions or robots capable of complex voice interactions in over 30 languages. It is equipped with 16MB of Flash and 8MB of PSRAM to handle demanding vision and language processing tasks.

The board is densely packed with onboard sensors and hardware components to support a variety of robotic applications. It includes a 2.0-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen for intuitive UI interaction, a 6-axis IMU (accelerometer and gyroscope) for motion sensing, and a suite of environmental sensors for light, infrared, temperature, and humidity. For audio-visual capabilities, it comes with a detachable 2MP HD camera supporting object tracking and face detection, as well as a high-performance noise-canceling microphone and a high-fidelity speaker for seamless two-way voice communication.

Expansion is a core feature of this development kit, making it highly compatible with specialized robotics hardware. The board includes dedicated interfaces for PWM and serial bus servos, supporting the full range of Hiwonder servos for building multi-degree-of-freedom robots. It also provides multiple I2C and UART ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a TF card slot (pre-included with a 32GB card) for storing large AI models or local datasets. Power can be supplied via Type-C or through a wider voltage range of 5V to 12.6V, accommodating various battery setups for mobile projects.
