Laser Screen Printer

November 16, 2023

Screen printing is a printing technique that involves transferring ink through a stenciled mesh screen to create a printed design on a variety of surfaces, but most known for fabric, tshirts and such. The creation of the stenciled mesh screen is time consuming (about 24 hours), and the process uses chemicals that are not good for the environment. The xTool Screen Printer is different because it uses a laser engraver to create the stencil from a two-sided coater screen. The fine beam laser is precise up to .01mm. The 3-axis micro-registration system allows for precision alignment of multiple screens for multi-color prints. The screen size is 11.5 x 16 inches. The squeegee has a magnet in it to hold it in place between prints.
