Keyboard Computer

The Raspberry Pi 500+ is an affordable single-board computer that is housed in a sleek, integrated keyboard chassis. It is powered by the new RP1 chipset paired with a 2.4GHz quad-core 64-bit ARM Cortex-A76 processor clocked at 2.4GHz, with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X SDRAM. Built into a low-profile keyboard case, the Raspberry Pi 500+ resembles a retro home computer but packs modern I/O: dual micro-HDMI ports supporting 4K output, USB 3.0 and USB-2 ports, Gigabit Ethernet, and built-in Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2. It’s plug-and-play ready for dual monitors, external drives, and peripherals.

Storage is handled via an internal 256GB Raspberry Pi SSD with support for M.2 NVMe SSDs (Non-Volatile Memory Express - a high-speed storage protocol for SSDs ) up to 2280 form factor. The Raspberry Pi 500+ has SD card support and a microSD card slot for operating system and data storage. The onboard RP1 I/O controller, offloads USB, Ethernet, and GPIO tasks from the main CPU. This not only improves performance but also opens the door for more advanced hardware interfacing.
