Haptic 3D Mouse
July 19, 2025
The MinVerse Haptic 3D Mouse is a groundbreaking input device developed by Haply Robotics, designed to bring tactile realism and six degrees of freedom to digital interaction. Unlike traditional mice limited to two-dimensional movement, the MinVerse allows users to manipulate objects in full 3D space—forward, backward, up, down, left, right, and rotational axes—while delivering real-time force feedback that simulates texture, resistance, and weight.
The MinVerse is equipped with a mechanical linkage system paired with high-speed sensors and actuators capable of delivering up to 4 newtons of dynamic force. This enables users to feel virtual surfaces, edges, and pressure points as if they were physically present. The MinVerse translates hand movements into precise digital control with a refresh rate of 4,000 Hz.
The device features a compact footprint—just 9.4 inches wide, 4.7 inches deep, and 1.5 inches tall when folded. It connects via USB-C and supports modular attachments, allowing users to switch between stylus, mouse, and VR controller modes. MinVerse is compatible with Haply’s Haptic Advanced Robotics Platform (H.A.R.P.), Blender, and other 3D software, with open-source APIs available for developers to expand its functionality. Its ergonomic design supports extended use, and its intuitive motion system allows first-time users to get comfortable within minutes.
Applications span across industries: 3D artists can sculpt with tactile precision, engineers can prototype with realistic feedback, in medical training, the device can simulate surgical procedures with lifelike resistance.
