Glow-in-the-Dark Webshooter

September 16, 2025

The ZipString Aracna Glow-in-the-Dark Webshooter is a wrist-mounted launcher that glows in the dark and redefines interactive play. Inspired by superhero fantasies and powered by clever engineering, Aracna is the latest evolution of the viral ZipString concept. Developed after nearly two years of prototyping and testing, Aracna takes the core ZipString mechanism—a motorized loop of string that floats and dances through the air—and straps it to your wrist like a high-tech gauntlet. The result is a physics-defying spectacle where string behaves like a living extension of your arm, responding to gestures, angles, and motion with mesmerizing precision.

The glow-in-the-dark string adds a whole new dimension to nighttime play. The Aracna’s motor is tuned for smooth, continuous operation, and the reloading mechanism allows for quick string swaps and uninterrupted action. Unlike traditional launchers or projectile toys, Aracna is safe, silent, and endlessly reusable. The string never detaches—it loops through the air and returns, creating a dynamic visual effect without the risk of flying parts or tangled messes.

The wrist-mounted design is adjustable for kids and adults alike, and the intuitive trigger system means you don’t need superhero reflexes to master it. Within minutes, users can learn basic tricks, loop formations, and even synchronized moves with friends. The optional Fusion String Pack, available through early Kickstarter bundles, offers enhanced glow and durability for extended play.
