Four Color 3D Printer

July 16, 2025

The Snapmaker U1 Color 3D Printer is a desktop fabrication system designed to deliver high-speed, multi-material printing with minimal waste and maximum precision. Built around a CoreXY motion architecture and equipped with a four-head SnapSwap tool-changing system, the U1 redefines what’s possible in consumer-grade 3D printing. The U1 features a SnapSwap mechanism, which enables automatic switching between up to four distinct print heads in just five seconds. This rapid tool-changing capability eliminates the need for purge towers, reducing filament waste. Each head is aligned with sub-0.04 mm offset accuracy, ensuring clean transitions and sharp details across color boundaries.

The printer supports a generous build volume and achieves print speeds up to 300 mm/s, with travel speeds reaching 500 mm/s and acceleration up to 20,000 mm/s². Advance algorithms are integrated to reduce vibration and optimize extrusion flow, resulting in smooth surfaces and crisp geometry even at high speeds.

Snapmaker’s automatic mesh bed leveling system ensures a flat and grippy first layer, while the enclosed chamber design maintains stable temperatures for printing with materials like PLA, PETG, TPU, PVA, ABS, and ASA. Noise levels remain below 50 dB during low-speed operation, making it suitable for home and office environments. The machine’s all-metal frame and precision linear bearings provide long-term structural integrity, while the carbon fiber X-axis rod reduces weight for faster motion. The U1 includes a colorful touchscreen interface for intuitive control.
