Folding Commuter eBike
July 7, 2025
The MiRiDER 16 GB3 is a British folding electric bike engineered for urban commuters and leisure riders. As the flagship model in MiRiDER’s lineup, the GB3 introduces a host of upgrades over its predecessor, including a unique three-speed gearbox, a maintenance-free belt drive, and a lightweight magnesium alloy frame.
This fold-ebike features a 250-watt rear hub motor paired with a 36V 7Ah Samsung battery. This setup delivers smooth, responsive power across five pedal-assist levels, with a top speed of 15.5 mph (25 km/h) and a maximum range of up to 45 miles (72 km) on a single charge. Charging takes just 2 to 3 hours, making it easy to top up between rides.
The MiRiDER 16 GB3 is equipped with a three-speed gearbox, which is integrated into the crankset and controlled via a grip shifter. This internal gear system eliminates the need for a bulky derailleur while offering smooth, reliable shifting—even under load. Paired with a Kevlar-reinforced belt drive, the GB3 delivers a quiet, grease-free ride with minimal maintenance.
The frame is constructed from cast magnesium alloy, keeping the bike’s weight to just 42.8 pounds (19.4 kilograms). Despite its solid build, the GB3 folds down to a compact 30.3 x 16.9 x 26.8 inches (77 x 43 x 68 cm), making it easy to store under a desk, in a car trunk, or on public transport. Folding pedals, magnetic frame locks, and a stabilizer wheel further enhance portability. Comfort and control are also key highlights. The GB3 features rear suspension, ergonomic grips, and a Selle Royal saddle with anti-slip material. Hydraulic disc brakes provide confident stopping power in all conditions, while riding on its 16-inch wheels with puncture-resistant tires.
The dashboard is a bright color LCD display that shows speed, battery level, trip data, and assist mode. A USB charging port is built in for powering mobile devices on the go. Front and rear lights, mudguards, and a kickstand come standard, with optional accessories like a rear rack, pannier bags, and a waterproof phone holder available.
