eVTOL that Flies, Drives, and Swims
June 26, 2025
Imagine a vehicle that can soar through the air, cruise down city streets, and glide across water—all without switching platforms. The BECARII eVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) concept is designed for maximum versatility, this hybrid transport system pushes the boundaries of personal mobility by combining drone-like aviation, amphibious operation, and ground transport in one futuristic craft.
In flight mode, the vehicle uses a bank of electric tilt-rotors for vertical takeoff and efficient forward propulsion. It can hover, ascend rapidly, and fly. Once it touches down, it transforms into a sleek, road-capable electric vehicle with tank-tread like wheels. Another features that sets it apart even further is its amphibious capability. The BECARII can glide across lakes, rivers, or shallow coastal waters.
Powering this multi-modal machine is a modular electric drivetrain paired with AI-assisted control systems. It includes adaptive flight stabilization, terrain-aware driving dynamics, and buoyancy management software for safe aquatic operation. Energy is stored in a high-density battery pack housed in a climate-stabilized compartment, optimized for discharge rates in all three environments.
It has a flight time of 40-50 minutes and it weighs approximtely 55 pounds (25kg). There are many version of this concept in the works, including a model that can hold a pilot.
