Desktop CNC Machines

The Himill D1 and D1S are desktop CNC machines combine a robust mechanical design with smart automation features that streamline the entire workflow—from setup to execution. Both models feature a generous working area of 11 × 7.9 × 3.1 inches (280 × 200 × 80 mm), suitable for a wide range of tasks including engraving, drilling, and cutting. The D1S distinguishes itself with a higher nominal accuracy of 0.0008 inches (0.02 mm), compared to the D1’s 0.0016 inches (0.04 mm).

The machines are powered by a 250-watt brushless spindle capable of speeds up to 39 inches per minute (1000 mm/min). The frame is constructed from high-strength cast aluminum with a topology-optimized structure, offering 150% greater stiffness than conventional CNC frames of similar weight. This rigidity minimizes vibration and ensures consistent machining quality.

The D1S features a quick tool change system. The compact spindle allows for tool swaps in seconds, and the automatic tool setter ensures perfect alignment every time. Additionally, both models support a snap-on 10W blue laser module, enabling switching between cutting and engraving without removing the spindle.

The machines come equipped with a 3D touch probe for intelligent dynamic position calibration. This probe delivers repeatability within ±0.0008 inches (±0.02 mm), allowing users to generate height maps and perform precision measurements directly from the control interface. Real-time toolpath visualization and 3D scanning further enhance accuracy and usability.

Connectivity is streamlined with USB and WiFi support, and the included MaxmakeLab control software offers multi-app integration, a preloaded material database, and ready-to-use project templates. Himill D1 and D1S are compatible with popular CAM software such as Fusion 360, VCarve, FreeCAD, and Carveco, and work seamlessly with control platforms like UGS and Candle.
