Cordless DIY Paint Sprayer
March 9, 2026
The Tilswall Hornet is a compact, cordless HVLP paint sprayer that emphasizes portability and ergonomic design for small to medium DIY projects. Currently active on Kickstarter, the device is marketed as the world’s lightest cordless sprayer, weighing only 450 grams to minimize arm fatigue during extended use. It is powered by a high-speed 100,000 RPM brushless motor that provides a stable air pressure of 7.5 kPa.
Technically, the sprayer is optimized for precision and detail work rather than large-scale industrial applications. It comes equipped with two copper nozzles—a 0.5 mm version for fine details like models and trim, and a 0.8 mm version for slightly faster coverage on furniture or door frames. The system supports paint viscosities up to 15 DIN-s and features a 120 ml paint cup capacity. To support its cordless functionality, the Hornet uses a dual 2000mAh battery system, offering approximately 45 minutes of runtime per battery. Its modular design is specifically intended to make the cleaning process quick and straightforward after each project.
