The Photonmatrix Anti-Mosquito Air Defense is a futuristic pest control device that uses LIDAR sensing and laser precision to eliminate mosquitoes without chemicals or physical traps. Designed to resemble a miniature air defense system, this portable unit combines LiDAR scanning and laser targeting to identify and neutralize flying insects mid-air.
The Photonmatrix features a LiDAR module that continuously scans the surrounding environment for flying objects. It detects mosquitoes based on their size and flight speed—specifically targeting insects between 0.08 to 0.79 inches (2 to 20 mm) traveling at speeds under 3.3 feet per second (1 m/s). Once a target is confirmed, the system activates a focused laser beam to instantly disable the insect with high accuracy.
