AI-Powered Boxing
June 22, 2025
The GROWL AI-powered boxing and fitness coach is redefining home workouts by merging immersive technology with real-time coaching. Designed for fitness, intensity, precision, and engagement, GROWL transforms any room into a high-performance training space using a combination of projection, motion tracking, and AI feedback.
GROWL features a wall-mounted interactive punching bag that doubles as a responsive training interface. Unlike traditional fitness mirrors or static bags, GROWL uses immersive projection to display a life-size virtual coach directly onto the bag’s surface. This creates the illusion of sparring with a real opponent, guiding users through dynamic routines that adapt to their performance in real time.
The system’s AI-driven 3D motion tracking captures every punch, duck, and pivot with remarkable accuracy. Infrared sensors and multiple cameras analyze form, speed, power, and accuracy, offering instant feedback to help users refine their technique. The platform adjusts difficulty levels to ensure consistent challenge and progress.
GROWL’s hardware is built for durability and comfort. The punching surface is made from multi-layer polyurethane foam, offering realistic resistance while minimizing noise and vibration. The frame incorporates steel, aluminum, and premium plastics, and is designed to mount on walls with wooden studs, drywall, or even solid concrete. It requires a ceiling height of at least 7 feet 9 inches and fits into home gyms, garages, or spare rooms.
Powering the experience is a dedicated Nvidia GPU running Unreal Engine 5, delivering fluid, game-like visuals that respond to every movement. The result is a workout that feels more like a high-stakes video game than a traditional fitness session. Users can also access a variety of programs beyond boxing, including strength training, yoga, and Pilates, all tailored by the AI to match individual goals and skill levels.
