5G QWERTY Smartphone
June 29, 2025
The Titan 2 5G QWERTY smartphone is a bold reimagining of the classic physical keyboard phone, blending tactile productivity with modern Android performance. Developed by Unihertz, the Titan 2 features a square display, full QWERTY keyboard, and a rugged, utilitarian design aimed at users who prioritize efficient typing.
At the front of the device is a 4.5-inch square LCD with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels. This 1:1 aspect ratio is ideal for reading emails, editing documents, and managing spreadsheets without the need for excessive scrolling. Below the display sits a redesigned physical keyboard with backlit, tactile keys that support swipe gestures and customizable shortcuts. Each key can be assigned long-press or short-press functions, allowing users to launch apps or perform actions with minimal effort.
Powering the Titan 2 is a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 15 and is expected to receive updates through at least Android 17. The Titan 2 includes a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.4x optical zoom, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. A secondary 2-inch display on the back, embedded in the camera module, serves as a notification panel and selfie preview screen. This dual-display setup enhances usability without compromising the phone’s rugged aesthetic.
Connectivity features include 5G support, dual SIM slots, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an infrared port, FM radio, and dual-band GPS. The device is powered by a 5,050 mAh battery with 33W fast charging via USB-C. Despite its robust feature set, the Titan 2 maintains a relatively slim profile at 0.42 inches (10.8 mm) and weighs 8.3 ounces (235 grams).
