3D Spatial Glasses

January 6, 2026

The XREAL 1S is a pair of augmented reality (AR) smart glasses that serves as an entry-level yet high-performance model within XREAL's One Series product line. Released around January 2026, it is designed to function primarily as a wearable virtual monitor, projecting a large, private screen in front of the user's eyes. It positions itself as a more affordable alternative to the XREAL One Pro while offering upgraded specifications over the original XREAL One. The glasses are lightweight, weighing approximately 82 grams.

Visually, the XREAL 1S features significant improvements in display quality. It utilizes Sony Micro-OLED panels with a resolution of 1200 pixels, offering a 16:10 aspect ratio that provides more vertical screen space compared to standard 1080p glasses. This resolution bump is complemented by a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth motion and a brightness of 700 nits, which helps maintain visibility in various lighting conditions. The field of view (FOV) is 52 degrees, which is slightly wider than the base model but narrower than the Pro version, creating a virtual screen experience equivalent to a large theater display.

The XREAL 1S features Real 3D capability, powered by the onboard X1 spatial computing chip. This function allows the glasses to convert standard 2D content into 3D in real-time with the press of a button, adding depth to movies and games. The X1 chip also enables 3 degrees of freedom (3DoF) tracking, which allows users to anchor the virtual screen in a fixed position in space or have it smoothly follow their head movements. For light management, the glasses include electrochromic dimming with multiple modes, such as Clear, Shade, and Theater, to block out external light for better immersion.
